Sometimes I Wonder About My Undergrad

I guess I could chalk it up to them being liberals. That eases the pain somewhat.

Yeah, but honestly, the protest will be like 20 people, because the rest of the campus doesn't give a shit.

So we have, what three groups: 1) the people who are being wronged and will protest 2) the people who aren't wronged and will protest 3) the people who don't care and will mock those who do care.

Put me in group two I may be an idiot but I ain't an insensitive cad who will laugh at people's good efforts and do nothing about the plight.

Actually, I don't fit into any of those categories. I am speaking generally about the population of students at UCLA, not mocking the plight of the workers. I think they probably deserve what it is they are protesting for, but the majority of UCLA students see protests as more of an inconvenience than anything else. I mean, what are the kids who live in the dorms supposed to do, not eat? Its easy to say you support the workers, but when it starts affecting your life, its hard to stand up there and give full support to the cause.

I am NOT an insensitive cad, I am NOT laughing at anything, I am just a former Bruin who is being honest.
