Scene: Career Service Center
Cocky Law Student*: I heard Smith & Smith moved their interview date back to March 4th.
Career Center Receptionist: That's correct.
Cocky Law Student (with a "they can't do this to me and things must change because I'm so important" tone of voice): Well that causes a problem for me because I have to leave for a Moot Court competition on the 2nd.
Career Center Receptionist (checking her papers): Oh, you don't have to worry... you didn't make it onto their interview list.
Brian (overhearing as he waits to be interviewed): hahahhahaha
*Names changed to protect the innocent.

Definitely a haha.
I would have loved to be there to overhear that. Some of our fellow students can be SO arrogant!
Definitely an ouch. It's sad to see how few of the SW students get interviews or jobs. Do we really suck that much that even the Moot Courters and Law Reviewers are unworthy of their time? What does that say about the rest of us?
To the first two commentators, you unsympathetic bastards, you two don't even know her!
Good instincts though.
As for the third commentator, I think it's more sad that some Mooters are so arrogant as to believe that they can lay claim to any interview.
Hi, long time reader, first time writer. I was recommended by a friend to read your blog. I didn't know what the hell a blog is but this person told me to read yours. The comments you write are very interesting and thought provoking. Let me cut to the chase. I've noticed you around campus and thought to myself "there is a very handsome gentleman." I was going to express my feelings to you personally but then I noticed another person. I don't know his name but I think you know him. I believe he is a 2L in your Con Law and Bus Ass class. He is Asian and also in APALSA. I dont know who this other fellow is but I think he is very handsome as well and looks even more interesting than you. I wondered is it possible to set me up on a date with this fellow if you know him. I believe he is the Secretary for APALSA. Quite a remarkable position of power for such a young individual. He must be very bright and intelligent. I think that you should learn from this mysterious man who walks with confidence yet has the humility and humblenss of a wise elder statesman. I hope this message has been helpful. Respectfully yours, Dixie Normous.
