Now Here's An Idea

Dean Cameron suggested that SBA hold a pep rally for ITAP.

What Do People Think Of Me?

At Wednesday's Back 2 School Luncheon, Dean Cameron and Brian agreed that I would make a great costumed mascot for Southwestern.

How Does This Happen?

An Irish Trojan.

Personally, I Find Mooing To Be A Turn On

What's a big cud-chewing Scottish cow have to do with preserving public decency?

No Longer a Virigin, A Roscoe's Virigin that is

I did something very LA today. I joined a friend to have waffles and chicken at Roscoe's. It is quite the combination for breakfast. I am proud to say that I am no longer a Roscoe's virgin, that cherry has been popped.

A Bad Sign?

I noticed I have been telling myself "It is just one of those days" a lot lately. Is this a bad thing? I think so!

Stat Of The Day

It just isn't.

ITAP News

Of the 56 or so people who participated in the first round, about 25 or so got cut. So the chances are good that I won't have to spend any more time working on ITAP.

But is it real? Who cares? It's funny either way.

I'm guessing he was on drugs - or in search of some.

DONE AND DONE

So my duties for some responsibility I took on are completed. It was not without some minor problems though. First, Mr. Wayne came to my house at 7 in the morning so we could finish some stuff up and load up the cars with over 450 bottles of water and cans of pop (or soda, I guess it is called soda out here). As we are pulling out of the garage I realize I have lost my keys. I must have locked them in the storage unit. So we had to drive to my brother in law's work and pick up the extra set. Then we ran into traffic and an idiot who blocked the road. Finally we get to school, get no help form anyone else and have to unload the cars. Mind you it is about a million degrees outside. So finally we get all the crap out of the cars. At this point I am sweating like a fat kid playing dodgeball. Once the lunch actaully started it was cool, the food went fast. I got yelled at for not getting vegan subs and for not making sure people were only taking one serving. Oh I also got yelled at for not filing some necessary paper work. Red tape sucks. All in all shitty ass day. And to top it all off I have not eaten a thing all day and I am sitting in my three hour class.

Another Reason To Leave ITAP Dying By The Side Of The Road

An email from Bunny
Rose & I are going to the sandhill in Manhattan Beach around 7:30ish tonight - if either one of you guys would like to join us [or just watch]. Call Rose for directions.
I have ITAP at 7:00.

ITAP Progress (Or Lack Thereof) IV

In about 4 hours I'll be done with the first round of ITAP. You think they'll listen to my plea at the end and accept my withdrawal from the rest of the competition?

ITAP has been way too much work and I don't really see that the reward - whatever that may be - is worth it.

Anagram Of The Day

A BAPTIST LAWS GO SOS

It Happened Again And I Miss Bunny

In Evidence I sit directly in front of one Mr. Yasuzawa. Today, Prof. Evidence (f.k.a. as Prof. Crim Pro) looked over our way. He looked up at us, down at his seating chart, up at us, down at the chart, up at us, down, up, down, up, down, and so on. I don't know what Mr. Yasuzawa was doing but I knew exactly what was going on and just tried to avoid making eye contact with the professor. The same thing happened last semester in Criminal Procedure. Apparently, he either gets us confused or more likely, he can't pronounce Mr. Yasuzawa's name. So this goes on for a really awkward couple of minutes, which seemed much longer than that. And in the end, instead of trying to pronounce Mr. Yasuzawa he gave up and Mr. Soller gets called on. And unlike last time I had no one to pass to.

ITAP Progress (Or Lack Thereof) III

According to a study I should be done with ITAP in quicker time if I were to intersperse my work on it with naps. To bed I go. And no contrarian mention of Cambridge please. (Thanks Mr. Poon)

UPDATE: It works! Refreshed after a nearly three hour uh... nap, I was able to just complete a productive thirty minutes on ITAP. A few more of those three hour naps and I should be done with the People's closing argument.

ITAP Progress (Or Lack Thereof) II

Seriously, the bitch should've plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter. It would have been in her own interests, in favor of judicial efficacy, and it would have allowed me to have spent my time doing more pleasurable things like ripping out my nuts and roasting them over a Labor Day bbq.

ITAP Progress (Or Lack Thereof)

This is what I have so far for Prosecution's closing argument.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury... she done it, she done it, she had gone and done it, she's guilty as sin.
Believe me, it's much more effective when you hear and see me say it. After all, it's all in the delivery. Now back to work I go.

How Fortuitous Is This

A Law & Order marathon running from 10am - 12am today. It's perfect timing as I spend the day preparing for the first round of ITAP. Now E.A.D.A., Jack McCoy can serve as my muse - let's hope there aren't many plea bargains shown - as I write my closing arguments and whomever the A.D.A is can serve as my muse for the many daydreams I'm sure to have as breaks from ITAP work.

Power Outage

There was an electrical outage on the westside today. We weren't all that concerned that we couldn't waste the day by watching tv or surfing the net. It didn't even bother us that we couldn't put on any lights or blast the a/c or that our hot water supply would not last a whole shower. All we could think about was what were we going to do with all that fish in our freezer should the power not restore itself by the end of the day. Luckily, after seven long hours, the power went back on - and our fish remained frozen. Perhaps it was because we just bought our refrigerator, or because we didn't open it during the entire power outage. Anyways, here's what I learned:

1. It's a good thing to have Arm & Hammer baking soda in your freezer - especially when it's full of fish.

2. You need at least one non-cordless phone in your house.

3. It's amazing how quiet it can get when all the power is out. It's also amazing what you may hear during a power outage.

4. Have some "reading" material available at all times - to distract from #3.

Because I Like Maps So Much

I've always maintained that President Bush is going to win in an electoral landslide. Here's a bit of support for that proposition from Vodkapundit using polling data collected here.

Meet Your 2004 Real Men Love Bush Team

I was fourth in the draft order. Can't say I'm happy with the results. But at least I won't be known as the guy who used the first pick on Vick.
