A somber mood prevailed at school today because of the election result. I obviously didn't expect people who supported Senator Kerry to come to school happy. Hell, anyone coming to school shouldn't be expected to come happy. But people were more than plainly saddened and I just didn't and still don't get it. Were Senator Kerry supporters that much more emotionally invested in their candidate than I was in mine? Because I for damn sure like to think that I wouldn't have been in a similar mood if President Bush had lost. As it is, I know my degree of happiness is much lesser than their degree of sadness. Almost makes me wish my guy had lost.
