Tap Dancing Klan

It was the only part of Jerry Springer - The Opera performed at the Cambridge Theatre that was entertaining. The Brits think otherwise.
The World Premiere received unprecedented rave reviews, standing ovations from critics and the public alike. Since its beginning at Battersea Arts Centre three years ago, the hit show has gone from strength to strength, its run having already been extended twice.
I thought a few of the performances were good but the material was trash. Annie came out thinking the Brits have a different sense of humor than us but I look at it as another manifestation of anti-American sentiment. The night in London was a very expensive one and not worth a single pence of it. We had dinner before the opera at TGIF - they call it "The American Restraunt" - and the prices here are double what they are back in the States. After the opera we split up for a short time and tried to catch Armen and Annie at the Tower of London but were unable to do so. But at least I got to see the outside of the Tower of London.

Today, we went to Harrod's for lunch. Their celebrated food hall is nothing but a glorified cross between a mall food court and a farmer's market. We didn't even have lunch in the food hall instead we had it at Mo's Diner were the food again was overpriced and the service was terrible. We did a bit of shopping and then Brian and I made our way back to Cambridge with Annie and Armen staying to see a few of the sights.
